What a glorious romp this was!  Adapted by Germaine Greer this updated version of the classic play by Aristophanes was riotous, irreverent and FUN!  The cast were brilliant and audiences loved the show.  One of my enduring memories of the process is of the afternoon I spent with a young female Costume Design student, shopping for dildos! No…this wasn’t a dodgy situation.

We needed them to sew into bike shorts as this turned out to be the best and cheapest solution to the “erections under towels” challenge that the script offered us. I believe there is still a somewhat compromising photo somewhere out there of me inspecting one of the said dildos in situ on an actor during the costume parade! (2008)
